Seminar-Inhalt / Agenda
- Find and effectively utilize resources such as the MySQL website, the online reference manual, mailing lists and others
- Understand the fundamentals of relational databases and the client/server concept
- List the major features of MaxDB
- Perform a MaxDB installation on Windows or Linux
- Use the graphical clients to connect with the MaxDB server and execute commands
- Perform a backup, recovery and check routine
- Handling database monitoring and the addition and settings of data and log volumes
- Understand the advanced server features like High Availability, Snapshots and MaxDB Eventing
- Have the ability to handle optimization tasks, like understanding memory areas and locks
- Understand and use the Database Analyzer tool for checking how a MaxDB instance can be improved
